Preparing;
• Take small cups (0.59 dl.)
• One hot pot called “cezve”, designed specially for Turkish Coffee.
• Put one cup of water for each person.
• Keep in mind that you will need extra space on top.
• After there is enough water in cezve, put the coffee and also sugar if desired.
• For each cup of water, between one and two heaped teaspoons of coffee may be used depending on your likes.
• There are four degrees of sweetness. Turkish terms and sugar amounts per cup are: sade (plain; no sugar), az sekerli (with a little sugar; half a levelled tea spoon): orta (with medium sugar; one tea spoon), çok şekerli (sweetish; more than one tea spoon for each cup).
• Now stir your JOHN’S Turkish Coffee and the desired amount of sugar until all coffee sinks and the sugar is dissolved.
• Remove the spoon and place cezve on fire.
• Do not stir beyond this point, as it would dissolve the foam.
